Mega Frame

Ok, project post #1. Here we go.

I always saw this post on Pinterest and thought, "How adorable! Someday I'll be that good at DIY and my whole house will be awesome and everyone will admire my cute stuff and..." and then after I had a million pins on my idea board I decided it was time to jump right in. Because, you know, you gotta start somewhere.

So I started with a laaaarge picture frame that I got for 50% off at Hobby Lobby, and then let it sit in my room for over a month.

Great start, eh?

Finally I got motivated again, and I got myself a program that turns your regular ol' pictures into polaroid look-a-likes. I used this one. It's great. And hilarious. And annoying. You drag your picture into the "camera," and then you wait for the pictures to fully "develop." It's a hoot.

Anyways, then I went and printed them off as 4x6 prints. Cuteness. Then I bought mini clothespins and black twine. I hot glued the twine across the back (I used two dots for each one, you know, as a backup) and then pinned the pictures onto the twine.

So after all that, about when I was thinking that I was giving up on crafting forever, I admired the finished product:

and then once I had the husband hang it on the wall:

Then I decided that I LOVE crafting and want to MAKE ALL THE CRAFTS!!!!

PS these pictures are from my phone.. so sorry they suck. I'll work on that.

In which I reenter the atmo... I mean blogosphere

Oh heyyy y'all, it’s been a minute, hey?

So it’s been like 3 years since I’ve blogged, and now I think it’s time to pick it back up – as the new (and of course improved) me. Let’s see… in no particular order, I graduated, got married, stopped thinking I was incredibly deep, and discovered Pinterest. Overall, I’d say this version of me is definitely an upgrade.

I think this time around I’ll cover a little more ground – posts about the projects I work on, the adventures and travels of my life, stuff that’s freakin hilarious, and the opportunities for learning and progress that I would love to share.
